Haiti, the people, needs help. Governments are trying to save their lives. Bibliothèques sans Frontière is trying to save their culture and knowledge.
Old manuscripts (16th century), documents about the haitian revolution, or even transcriptions of voodoo oral tradition could be lost forever if Non-governmental organizations like FOKAL weren't working together with IFLA and UNESCO to save them. Rain is their worst enemy, it can destroy those unique documents. Let's hope they do a better job than governments do. If you wanna help them, there is a donation button on the Bibliothèques sans Frontières website.
